About the event

THE ACTOR ON THE NARRATIVE SOLO

Practical workshop on the narrative solo, with Júlio Adrião. Actor in the show The Discovery of the Americas, by Dario Fo. Shell Award 2005 for best actor. Development of a methodology for fabulation through the use of what each actor has of his own - his innate capacity for communication - and what he has acquired throughout life - technical, physical and vocal. The actor in a pure and intense state,

with understanding and mastery of its communication channels with the public. More important than memorizing the text is knowing the story. Body and voice as a function of narration. Count the action/Do the action. The actor is the author of the spoken text that narrates the story. Based on the principle that theater is nothing more than a story to be told, the workshop works on the idea of adapting the text, where the text or original plot , written or not, will be adapted to the voice and body of the actor/narrator.

This process occurs as the actor masters this plot and, little by little, finds words, sounds and physical actions that will shape this narration. From improvisation, text, sound and physical scores are defined. All this through a lot of experimentation, repetition, observation, detachment, discipline and perseverance, that is, a lot of work.
