Open invitation to the community to participate for free in an artistic residency that combines art, expression and collective collaboration. Open to all people, with or without previous experience, this initiative offers the opportunity to create large-scale puppets for a street show, integrating the POP 2024 Festival program.

The Artistic Residency: Street Puppets, will be a creative and inclusive process where participants will work together with professional artists, learning techniques of giant puppet building, manipulation and theatrical movement. This work will culminate in the creation of characters that will parade through the streets, bringing life and color to public space.

During the residency, we will explore the art of puppetry as a form of expression and interaction with the urban environment, promoting creativity, group work and community involvement. The puppets will be co-created from sustainable and waste materials, in a practice that values environmental awareness and creative reuse.

Participants will have the chance to integrate the final parade, included in the POP Festival program, where giant puppets will occupy the streets in a visual and theatrical performance.

The Artistic Residency: Street Puppets, will take place from October 28 to November 22.  Registration will remain open until November 4 and all activities will take place at the POP House.
